Golden Raisins
Golden raisins are produced by harvesting green seedless grapes. The main characteristics of this type of Iranian raisins can be described as shiny and pure golden color along with sweet and fruity taste. The color of organic golden raisins ranges from yellow, golden, or greenish yellow to light amber. For producing golden raisins after harvesting grapes to decrease the time of drying process, they will be submerged inside a solution including potassium carbonate, water and vegetable oil. Then grape clusters will be tied up to each other vertically with appropriate 2or3 meter-threads and place in a shadow which has proper air ventilation in order to dry.
Kashmari Golden Raisins
Kashmari golden raisin is a dehydrated form of Peykami grapes which has a golden color and long appearance. It takes its name from Kashmar in North East of Iran where it was originally produced.
Kashmari golden raisins are very popular among buyers due to their beautiful color and elongated shape. These raisins are produced from Peykami grapes, a variety of seedless grapes and the length of each grain of golden raisins is between 2to3cm.
This type of raisin is one of the most exported types of raisins from Iran and some of the main importers of these raisins are countries in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.
Kashmari Green Raisins
Green raisins are one of the best and most desirable types of raisins. This unique raisin has a beautiful green color and an extraordinary sour and sweet taste that is best known among all raisins. The length of each raisin is about 2-3 cm. Harvesting places for kashmari grapes are generally kashmar city in Razavi khorasan province and some cities in the northeastern of Iran. The chosen grapes for this kind of raisins are one of the most qualified grapes. After harvesting, farmers use a cold emulsion mixture of certain percentages of potassium carbonate and raisin oil to produce green raisins.
Sultana Raisins
Soltane raisin is one of the commercial types of Iranian raisins, which exports highly to all countries every year. Sultana is made of the best seedless grapes. To achieve the desired quality, all the raisins are washed and sorted twice at each stage, and then they are soaked in edible oil and dried.
To prepare Sultana, the grapes are dipped in water, potassium carbonate and vegetable oil liquid after ripening and harvesting, and then spread in the sun to dry sooner, and raisins are usually obtained within 5-6 days.
